Hubbs of D&D Travel documented the Jerome and Bloomfield Avenue,
Bloomfield, CT neighborhood that is slated to be redeveloped soon
into apartments/condos...The following 16 images begin just beyond
the post office on Jerome, heading south, turning right onto Jerome Way
(the "new" connector) and right (north) onto Bloomfield Avenue,
ending near the Town Hall...Several homes appear to be unoccupied or abandoned at this time.
Each has been sold for at or above market value and most folks were
eager to sell... UPDATE - August, 2018 It's been 4 years already! Heirloom Flats - the new apartment complex - is already a good community partner and is filling up quickly! We are seeing new faces each day in area restaurants and other businesses - a very good thing for the center. |

This house, once facing Robert's Park/Green (Town Green), is the Roberts Homestead, built at 717 Bloomfield Avenue in 1822. It is often referred to as the McCrann House. We understand that this home is NOT part of the proposed redevelopment plans... |
