D&D Travel's New Mexico 2020 - October 3 to 12... Join us!!
Join us for the 2020 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta...and to explore New Mexico... and locations where the 2019 CW Television Series "Roswell, New Mexico" is filmed, from Albuquerque to Santa Fe, Las Vegas (NM) and of course, Roswell - where it all began! We'll head out on Southwest Airlines from Hartford (BDL) to Albuquerque (ABQ) on October 3 for an independent loop tour from Albuquerque to Santa Fe, on to Las Vegas (no, not that Las Vegas!), down to Roswell and back where we began. See the map link below for the planned tour route. We'll stay for several nights in each location, traveling by rental car (we'll be glad to make reservations for hotels and car for you), visiting area sights and attractions, as well as a list of shooting locations for the TV series. Of course, the highlight will be the balloon fiesta, officially held from October 3 to 11, 2020. This is a spectacle that should be on everyone's bucket list! Preliminary plans call for exploring Albuquerque, visiting the balloon fiesta, several nights in Santa Fe, 1 night in or near Las Vegas, NM and several nights in Roswell, returning to Albuquerque on October 11. The last night will be at or near the airport, returning home on October 12. Of course, we'll explore each town/area's offerings, as well as shooting locations for the TV series, along with a possible day trip to Carlsbad Caverns National Park, about 95 miles south of Roswell! This independent tour is an "on-your-own" exploration - hang with us if you like for all or part of the trip or go off on your own as you wish! We'd love a "car caravan" of course!!
Carlsbad Caverns, New Mexico - scene of many movies over the years! More details will post here as it gets closer to departure date. Hotels and rental cars should be available for booking sometime in November, 2019. Air on Southwest normally opens up for booking about 6 to 8 months prior. Check back often for updates!
