Several photographs of The Great Tariffville Train Wreck of 1878...Both engines were raised, repaired and put back into service after the bridge over the Farmington River collapsed just after 10pm on the evening of January 15th. The train had just passed through North Bloomfield (and the bridge over Griffin Brook), past the village of Tariffville proper and was heading toward the Hoskins Station in Simsbury...
