A brief account of the 7-day Eastern Caribbean sailings from Fort Lauderdale, FL...Enjoy!

The Oasis at dock in St. Thomas, USVI...

Above and following two images: "Central Park" - just one of several "neighborhoods" aboard the Oasis of the Seas...The plantings are all 100% real and carefully tended to by specialists!

Note the inward-facing inside staterooms with balconies!

Another neighborhood - "The Boardwalk" - complete with a Johnny Rockets, Ben & Jerry's, a hot dog stand...and a carousel!

...and of course, a HUGE, colorful casino to lose in!!

Above and just below: The Solarium - an adults-only area all the way forward with a pool, two large whirlpools, the Solarium Bistro (at pool level in the background) and a bar just upstairs...all with a magnificent view of the ocean...

Above: Huge over-the-water whirlpools extend from deck out over the water!

Above & below: One of two main hot tubs in the forward area of the Solarium...

There is a very large gym with lots of equipment and of course, the Spa!

Above and next 4 images: Along the Royal Promenade - a main entertainment area...

The musical "Cats" - in its full Broadway format - presented in the Opal Theater...

The ship is really a big part of the destination...but above and next two below were taken at RCCL's private area of Orient Bay Beach, on the French side of St. Maarten...

Creque's Alley...This is the spot above which the Mamas and the Papas started their career, staying in an apartment just above what is now the Side Street Pub. Their first major hit - "Creek Alley" - was written here...Mama Cass eventually joined them here.

The alley seen from a balcony above...

A local St. Thomas resident taking a sun bath near the dock...

Along Front Street in Philipsburg, St. Maarten (the Dutch side) - the "famous" Guavaberry Emporium. Their liquor is available for tasting free and the product is made 100% on-site...A must have souvenir!

A very colorful place for sure!
